We first became aware of “Want, Need, Wear, Read Christmas Wish Lists 2 years ago. With 4 kids, we thought this was brilliant and officially made this a tradition last year. We noticed our kids put a lot of thought into these categories. They and made great choices that were practical and long lasting. No more 10 minute toys, you know, those Christmas gifts they play with for 10 minutes and toss aside and forget about?
After a difficult year, we have noticed a trend this 2020, many are eager to get in the Christmas spirit . And we are no exception. We put the Christmas tree up a month early, and decided to pass out these “Want, Need, Wear, Read” Christmas Wish List Printables.
Third year into this tradition we found an unexpected pleasant surprise. Although everyone was excited to fill out their lists, they were more excited to see what everyone else put on their list. We unexpectedly found that they were more authentically excited about giving gifts than getting them.
Watching the the older ones helping the younger ones fill out their lists is simply adorable. All the warm and fuzzies of Christmas has officially entered our home. And we hope sharing our story and these Free Printables helps bring a tinge of Merry to your 2020.
