Free! Travel the World LEGO Activity Cards

What do you get when you pair landmarks around the world, like the Taj Mahal, or Wonders of the World, like Easter Island, with LEGO engineering? You get Social Studies and STEM in one activity. These Travel the World LEGO Activity Cards created hours of fun for our whole family, ages 5-45 at the time of these pictures. 😄

Pick a card, any card

Get your “bags” ready to travel around the world. Have your child pick a card any card. Then head to what you have handy for research. Although I would love to advise heading to the library, let’s be honest, everyone wants to get to the building.

We had a globe and the internet on hand. As a family we chose 2 areas of focus, 3 most interesting facts we learned about our landmark and best engineered. Since we are a naturally competitive family, research was taken seriously, ie. more learning, hee hee.

Warning, this is a very relaxing quiet activity that is great for winding down. However, we advise setting a time limit or not starting at the end of the night. We started after dinner around 8:30pm and it was almost midnight when we were done and we didn’t even realize it. When I said hours of fun, I was not kidding.

Bonus: What to do after everyone shares their interesting facts and LEGO creation…have an award ceremony of course! I have included LEGO themed Certificate of Excellence for the participants in your group. This is a great way for everyone to celebrate everyone’s hard work and enthusiasm for their vision. A great ending to a fun filled educational activity. Applauses all around!

Free! Travel the World LEGO Activity Cards are perfect for Homeschooling, LEGO Club, to Family Game Night!

Don’t have LEGOs? No problem, you can use whatever toy building product like Playdoh, Logs, K’nex, even Minecraft!

Please feel free to share what your group did, we’d love to hear what you came up with!
