About Korpino

On August 2nd, of 2003, we exchanged vows in front of over 300 of our friends and family. This marked the union of two people, two families and two cultures. The Korean and Filipino cultures in general, are both rich with tradition. Both have an emphasis on family, respect for elders, and some absolutely delicious food.

There definitely are some differences, but marriage is based on acceptance and compromise. We have learned how to equitably incorporate both of our cultures in the raising of our four kids. Our goal is to create a greater sense of awareness and pride, in who they are, than we ever had. We want to unite and strengthen.

Why is This Important to Us?

Since our wedding day, we have tried to faithfully follow the “easier said than done” life of 2 Corinthians 5:7, walk by Faith and not by sight (you will find many examples of this throughout our site). Shortly after our wedding, we left the California, Bay Area. The place that we were born, raised and lived for over 20 years. We picked up and moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
