Homeschool Lunch Idea Sausage Ppang 소세지빵

Sausage Ppang, aka Hotdog Bread, is a popular savory Korean snack. With a couple of hacks, sausage ppang is a perfect Homeschool lunch idea that caters the palates of kids and also gets them cooking in the kitchen.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Beef hot dogs
  • 1 can Biscuits Refrigerated canned biscuits. We used Grands flaky Layers Hawaiian biscuits. But any variety will do.
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese of your choice Choose your favorite or use what you have.
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Canned Biscuits- Separate and use a rolling pin to spread each biscuit
  • Hotdogs- Pat dry and wrap in biscuit dough
  • Use kitchen scissors and cut diagonally 3/4 of the way though
  • Separate the pieces alternating sides to make a leaf pattern
  • Sprinkle Cheese on top towards the middle
  • Place on a non-stick baking sheet and bake according to biscuit instructions.
  • Remove from oven and mix 1 egg and 1/4 cup of water and brush the bread only. Place in oven on broil to brown the edges. Keep an eye on it because it can burn quickly.
  • Cool and enjoy. Let the kids create a zigzag ketchup design and eat!
